Upcoming games for 2015
February 3, 2015
2014 was an amazing year for the gaming community. With hit games such as The Evil Within, Mario Kart 8, and Call of Duty Advance Warfare, gamers of all ages easily had a wide array of games to choose from. But with 2014 ending and 2015 beginning, gamers can expect to see an ample amount of new titles as well as a few long awaited ones for their favorite consoles. Game titles for the 2015 year include: Batman: Arkham Knight, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Kingdom Hearts 3.
Batman: Arkham Knight is scheduled to be released on June 6, 2015, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In this last addition of the Arkham series, Batman faces one of his most dangerous villains, Scarecrow, as he plans to terminate the Dark Knight once and for all with the help of Gotham’s sinister thugs and top notch villains. Just like the previous entries to the Arkham series, Batman has a wide variety of gadgets and skills to pick and choose from to aid him in his quest. But unlike the other titles, the highly acclaimed Batmobile is now accessible for the Dark Knight’s disposal. The Batmobile has a total of two forms: a high speed vehicle and a tank with massive fire power. Fans of the Dark Knight will truly fall in love in this last instalment of the Arkham series.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be released on February 13, 2015, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. This addition of the Monster Hunter series has been around in Japan since last year, and is finally making its way to North America due to popular demand. In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, hunters can once again hunt down some of their favorite monsters with a few returning monsters, most notably Kirin, Tigrex, Rathalos and more. Additionally, all of the previous weapons make a return as well as two new weapons, the Charge Blade and Insect Glave, to give hunters an edge against the game’s most powerful monsters. Furthermore, for the first time ever, hunters can now jump and land on monsters and deal an excessive amount of damage towards them. With all of the new content, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will definitely be the “Ultimate” in the series.
Last, but certainly not least, the worldwide renowned Kingdom Hearts 3 will possibly be released the year, as the date is still pending. Two years ago during E3, Square Enix surprised the audience with a trailer of Kingdom Hearts 3. The crowd went wild as they saw the game’s protagonist, Sora, fight against a horde of heartless. Unfortunately, not much else has been released about the game, besides that it’s coming out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Nonetheless, Gamers will have to wait anxiously until Square Enix decides to put a release date on this title, which will hopefully be sometime this year.
With these two new, potentially three new games coming out this year, it is guaranteed that gamers will continue to enjoy themselves as always. Let’s just hope that none of the major game companies decide to push their titles back, otherwise Scarecrow, Kirin, or the Heartless will have to pay them a visit.
