There are high hopes for the 2011-2012 Varsity Girls Soccer season. With returning starters: Morgan and Marissa Graves, Jackie Wysocki, Taylor Adler, Riviera McCollum, Kristin Plyer, and Krista Mehrl, the team has more than enough leadership to take on any opponent, especially Central. The split has made little impact on the team, considering only one returning player will be playing on Central’s varsity. The issue, however, lies on the field, literally. Turf construction will take place during the spring season, leaving only three home games for the Varsity to play. This will likely decrease the amount of fans, leaving the only home games to be held at Memorial Stadium. Fields for practice is still up in the air for all level teams. Under the coaching of Head Coach Lundeen and Assistant coaches Tatro and Ndoca, and Georgiou, the team will overcome field issues and the loss of Steelmen to come out on top.
