Anticipation for Joliet West’s girl softball has definitely been amped up this year. Hopes are extremely high for this year’s team. They’re hoping to beat their last record from last year which stood at 19-19
Conditioning has already begun for the 2014 season. Conditioning for girls’ softball is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 in the fitness room. It is open conditioning for anyone who is interested in joining the softball team.
Hopes are held high for this upcoming season. One player said, “I really hope I make the team. I expect that team for West to be THE team to beat. We have to improve ourselves and live up to everyone’s expectations. No, we have to exceed expectations.”
The team’s number one priority is the grades of their players. Head coach, Heather Suca, says, “All members of the softball team understand that they are expected to excel in the classroom and ultimately continue in college. Hard work and dedication are stepping stones for success on the field, in school, and in life.”
